Under the Moutain

We have finished our book that we were reading and the old movie of Under the Mountain it is really cool and I want to see the new movie in comparison.
The main characters are Theo and Rachel the twins, Mr Jones and the bad guys... the Wilberforce's.
It is a really great book and movie written by Maurice Gee and I really like it and I am sad that we have finished it.

Harry Potter Night

A few days ago we had our fundraising Harry Potter night we raised a bit of money and had loads of fun.
I dressed up as Snape and eon a few prizes and our puppet play was a success. Over all I think the Night was great and we should do more stuff like that in the future.

Athletics Day

Yesterday we had an athletics day I went for overall award and I hope I got it I won Distance running, sprints,long jump and high jump the only one I didn't win is tennis ball throw and relays but it doesn't really count because it is a team race.
overall I think I did well and I tried hard it was tiring but it was good.

Moving On

It is nearing the end of the year and I am going to be leaving NCS which will be sad but I have had fun here and I will be going to boys prep next year which will be fun.
We will be having a leaving ceremony to say goodbye to us but I am ready to go to the next stage.

Funraising

We are fundraising for camp at Golden Bay and we are doing very well today we are doing air guitar and from the class sponsorships we have raised $812 which is very good money and we also have the harry potter night coming up next Friday which will be good so I definitely think we will have enough money for camp.
And I hope the air guitar will go well today.

Air Guitar Day

Coming up is the Air Guitar Night I can't wait to do it we are deciding between Linkin Park New Divide and The Ace of Spades I am choosing Linkin Park New Divide it really cool and has lots of guitar and is a very likeable song.

Cycle Safety Day

Yesterday we had a police constable, constable O'donavan came in and taught us the road rules it was really interesting and I learnt allot and I now know lots about safety and now I will be more safe on the roads.
I had fun and I will be biking more often now.

Christchurch Quake

A few days ago there was a massive Earthquake and measured 7.1 on the Richter Scale which was a very devastating Earthquake and hundreds of houses and buildings alike were destroyed and lots were red carded (means about to be demolished.)
But miraculously no one died which was a miracle.
But the things that took a big blow was the City's infrastructure and it will take some serious building to fix the City and a lot of work will have to be put in and guess what another bit o9f bad news there has been aftershocks too which has made more buildings crumple to the ground and I hope they will stop soon.

Totara Trading

On Friday we had Totara trading day it was fun lots of people traded and I traded with Ben R and we made a resemble amount of money which was pretty good the best sellers were Ultimate Food stall they made loads I had a great time and I can't wait to next Totara Trading day.

Speeches

In our class we have been doing speeches mine is about J.R.R Tolkien and I am doing OK but Jonathan said I should just fix up the ending then it'll be great.
I hope I get in but there is is some people who are good rivals eg Max, Toby and Ben R but I'll see tomorrow when the competition is on.

Winter Tournament

Yesterday we had the Winter Sports Tournament it was awesome I chose Miniball it was fun in my team was Ronan, Kyle, Liam other people and me.
We had a great time and both Central teams were equal we both won all our games and tied when we versed each other which was great and also two giants were there Sam Dexter and Ben Wright Ronan and I talked to Dexter which was a buzz.
I had a great time and could of done it all over again.

Basket Ball Rep Tournament

Last Sunday Ben R, Toby, Max, Kyle, Lachie, Chris and Me went to Blenhim to go to the basket ball reps. It was so fun I had a great time we had four games and we won the whole thing! I was really happy and most of the team after we had played our last game they went to the subway in the stadium but I didn't have it because I had already had an Akbabba's kebab which was yum but I was too full to have subway.

May The Force Be With You

On Monday we held the rubber band car race. I didn't enter mine because it had no wheels so Max and Bianca were the two chosen to represent the class.
In the end Bianca won at the length of 13.54 cm she did very well also did Max but he came third.
We have learnt allot about the forces and how to make a car. I think everyone did very well and learnt something from it.

Ski trip coming up

Soon we are going to rainbow ski field and I am really excited I love skiing it is so fun I have already done the hardest slope without falling but I am still eager to go again.
I don't ski with polls I think it gets in your way so I go without polls.
I can't wait to go and I hope I have lots of fun.

Literific and Rich Task

I have finally finished my Literific task! I did a comic strip, a puppet play, a findout and a voice recording.
I think I did a good job and it took quite a long while but I am proud that I have finished it.

I've also been doing my rich task and I have completed making my machine to show my understanding of the forces it looks quite cool I made a rubber band powered boat and I am proud of it.
Now we also have to make a rubber band powered car for a competition and my one is going well.

Holidays

In the term holidays I went on a road trip with simoe Auzzie friends it was awsome! we went to Punakaiki, hanmer Springs and Kaikoura at all the places we stayed at batches.
I had a wonderful time anbd we will see our friends again in September.

Suter Art gallery

Yesterday we went to the Suter with an exhibition on Mike Ward it was fun he is a good artist not my cup of tea though.
We drew a poster of ourselves holding a sign saying something that we value.
It was fun but soon people started being silly.

The Holidays

The holidays are coming up for me I am going to have a great time some Aussie friends we are going to have a road trip around the area to Punakaiki, Hamner Springs and St Arnud it will be awsome I can't wait. We might be doing more but I can't remember I bcan't wait to have a break after a big school term.

Ok I'm going to tell you some things about me.
I like reading books my favourite catagories are Fantasy,Adventure and a little bit of Action too.
I like drawing, going to friends places, making stuff, even more reading and Eating!!
I like school and playing games at lunch times, I am having a good time with everything so far Cool!

My Stuff

I do Karate after school on tuesdays and I have graded to a white belt which I am really proud of and I am able to wear a"Ghee" ( a Karate clothing thingy) Quinn also does it with me he is a white belt two yellow stripe.
I also do basket ball which I like alot.
I am having a great time doing sport and music I like it alot :-)

More Work

We have another topic and we have to make a machine that shows our understanding of the "forces."
My machine is a propeller powered boat and I have done some searching on the internet.
I wonder how my machine will go when I have finished it.

Amazing Race

Last friday we had the Amazing Race it was awsome!!!
We had these photo clues which we had to work out where they are then take a picture of it with us in the picture also. We finished with a total of 850 points which wasn't that bad and the winner won on 970 pionts which is a very good effort.
It was within the waterfront to the centre of Nz and our school it was pretty hard and we were tired but it was definitly, definitley worth it.
The Amazing Race is so cool I had a great time and my team was Lachie, Jacob, Ben R, Eric and Myself.

EARTHQUAKES
Do you know the feeling and the terror of earthquakes and the destruction they cause? If you think they are funny, maybe you should think again. Earthquakes kill millions and change our world a lot in many different ways tsunamis, volcanoes and can change landscapes in a big way.
What are earthquakes? Earthquakes are a sudden release of power in the earths crust, a vibration, Magma make things called “tectonic plates” move they bash together which makes an earthquake. Make Mountains there can also be earthquakes under the sea which causes a tsunami.
Earthquakes are recorded with a “seismometer” and the force that they make is recorded with a “Richter scale” one of the worst earthquakes killed 23,000 people which also caused a tsunami.
Some major tectonic plates are the Eurasian plate, African, Antarctic, Pacific, North American and the Indo Australian plate.
Earthquakes are one of the worst natural disasters nature can throw, earthquakes can make roads ripple like ribbons and destroy towns and cities, and they are truly very powerful.
Earthquakes are scary and I hope now you something about earthquakes and the devastation the cause.

Class

In class our Inquiry topic is "our ever changing world" I am doing Earthquakes I am researching it and it is quite interesting reading about it. We are also doing something in Literacy called "Literific" I am trying to get an "E" and I have started but it is alot of work.
I have alot of work to do and I wonder if I ever will get it finished.

Stuff and more Stuff

We have a new Inquiry topic about "Our Changing World" Justin and I are doing one on Earthquakes and it is quite interesting. I like doing Inquiry it is fun but what I most like doing is Writing.
On the weekened Ronan came to my house for a sleepover it was awsome! we had Pizza and played Boxhead (a computer game) alot। I am having fun at home and at school and I can't wait to see if we are going to do someting else that is fun. सूचक बाल्स

Rich Task

In class we are doing a Rich Task we have to design a piece of fitness equipment and our budget is $200. I have finished my one I did chin-up bars and I thought I did pretty well. Now we are doing another Rich Task about Our Changing World I am doing mine with Justin on "Tectonic Plates" it is going well but we haven't got much in information that we understand but we'll see how it goes.
I am having a fun time in class and I wonder what exciting thing we will do next.

Findout Awards

On wenesday we had a fun day we had pizza and did the findout awards (not to mention the swim afterwards) as you should already know we had pizza but now I am going to anonce who won the findout awards.... it was TOBBYYY!!! he won with his great findout on Peanuts (a comic strip.) After that we went to Riverside pool and I swum 25 lengths of the pool wich was an big effort and I am proud of it but Quinn did more than me he did 32 lengths of the pool well, he came first but I still came second!
I had loads of fun and I wanted to reaplay it all over again.

Pizza Day!

Ok, we have had our pizza it is YUMMY!!!! I ate a whole Hawaiian pizza and a half as a Cheese supreme soon we are going to the pool but I don't know how much I will be able to do I have ate so much well, we will see soon.

Fun Day Wednesday!!

On Wednesday we are having a day of fun we are going to have the Findout awards and at lunchtime we are going to have PIZZA!!!!!! and after that we are going to Riverside pool for a swim and set a goal of how many metres we can swim. We are going to have an awesome time and I wonder how many metres I can swim.

Class Work

Through the past few weeks we have been doing lots of writing about the Tryathlon and the swimming carnival now we have finished the book called "The Cay" we have been writing alot about it and we have set up an exhibition of our models of the cay in the Library. We have been having great time and learning loads. Oh, and we have been doing a Rich Task about fitness and how we could develop the school and in places put fitness exercises in.

The Cay Models

At class we are reading a book called "The Cay" (or was reading it because we finished it). We have made some models on parts of The Cay my model was when they were stranded on a raft in the ocean I named it "Watery Fate". I have finished it and it is cool.

Camp

A few days ago we had our class camp, it was AWESOME!! we did paintball and we walked up Pippin island paintballing was fun and I got hit in the ......... it hurt allot but still I wanted to do it again and the Pippin island walk was tiring but fun and when we got to the top we had a scrumptious lunch with great views over cable Bay. I had a great time and I wish I could replay it all over again.

P.S. Tom cracked his head open on camp so he missed out sounds like it hurt OW WWW!! but nothing too serious.

Up coming camp

In two days our class will be going on camp to Cable Bay. I am really excited I've already packed and done some home baking (banana muffins.) We are making the last preparations and soon our teacher will buy the food and we will almost be done, and I am in Quinn's tent which is a six sleeper and we will have a ball PAINT BALL!!!!!!! I am excited about that the most and I can't wait to beat Toby.

Swimming Carnival

Yesterday we had our Swimming Carnival I had a great time even though it was cold waiting for my races. I came second in freestyle, first in breastroke, first in backstroke, second in the class relay and didn't really know with the underwater swim and the piggyback race but I was proud of myself and I wished I could do it again.

Tryathlon

On tuesday we had our Tryathlon it was fun I came third in the ten year old boys and fith in the oren race I had a great time but I was very tired at the end, and I wanted to do it again.
